Faith Hope and Love

But the greatest of these is love.

Some people are so hard to love, but God's word says that we are to love everyone.
Even are enemies. How hard is that to do.

Washed By the Spirit

Wes getting Baptised

Going down.....

and coming up completely cleansed and washed in the Spirit.
Oh how wonderful it is to know that you will never be apart from your children. 3 of my 4 have asked for salvation and excepted Jesus Christ as their Savior. I know with no doubts that I will reside with them one day in Heaven. That truly blesses my heart.
3 down and 1 to go.
Gods word promises Salvation to anyone who calls on the name of Jesus. Anyone, anytime, anywhere, and no matter what road you have been down in this life.
My God in Heaven is not a condemning God but one who is merciful and full of Grace and Loves us even when no one else will. He can take our sins and cast them as far as the East is to the West. Colossians 1:14 says that We are completely forgiven!
Praise God.
By Faith, Trust in the Lord Jesus, Whom died for all sins of all men, and confess our sins and believe that He died for us, rose again and is alive today in Heaven with our Father God.

Burdens at Rest

Burdens at rest

Psalm 46:1 “God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help me in times of trouble”

Sometimes life can be overwhelming. Are your burdens dragging you down? Everyone’s situation is different. There is someone else out the suffering worse than you or I today. It might be the loss of a job, grieving over a loved one’s death, a crippling disability, or a deadly disease. Whatever the burden is, you do not have to bear it anymore. There is someone who loves you and has taken on all the burdens of the world. Jesus Christ died for you and your sins. He has paid the ultimate price for you in full. You can lay all your burdens down for him to carry. He is strong and able to carry the weight when we are too weak. Will you place them at his feet today?

Prayer: Lord, I lay all my burdens down to you, knowing that you will carry this load for me. I am too weak, but you are strong and mighty. Thank you for dying for me. Help me to have faith and know I can always call upon your name. Amen.

Stealing your peace?

Steal your Peace?

Psalm 13:2- “How long must I struggle with anguish in my soul, with sorrow in my heart everyday? How long will me enemy have the upper hand?”

Bitterness? Why can’t I get rid of it? So often a situation occurs that will have me so bitter that I find myself dwelling on it all day. When I wake up, sitting in morning traffic, on my lunch break, cooking dinner, etc. Thoughts playing like a broken record, plotting what to say, if you do this, then I will do that game. BAM! He has done it again. The enemy has stolen my peace, yet another day. He preys like a wild animal, waits till you are weakened and pounces on you. Thankfully I have God’s promises. He wants me to have a joyful life. In James 1:2 it tells us “Whenever trouble comes your way, let it be an opportunity for joy.”
Prayer: Lord, I know that you desire peace and joy for me. I pray that when bitterness stirs up that I will lay it at your feet. Help me to pray over those situations daily. Fill me with faith and keep me focused on the purpose you have for my life. Amen.

What a Backslider

Backslider

Jeremiah 3:22- “Return, faithless people; I will cure you of backsliding.” “Yes, we will come to you, for you are the Lord our God.”

I have found myself here more times than I care to speak of. As a Christian, you can find that it isn’t always as easy as it may seem. Encouragement, discipline, learning, and praying are just some things you need daily to keep from drifting. The Lord loves us and wants his very best for us. He wants to meet with us daily. If you find yourself drifting, turn back quickly and stand firm in God’s presence. Come to the Lord asking forgiveness and a cleansed heart. He is waiting for you, will you go meet with him?

Prayer: Forgive me when I slip away from you, Lord. Help me to have a desire to seek you daily. Thank you, for loving me, even when I fail you. Help me to be committed to prayer time, my church, and studying your word. Surround me with Christian women to encourage me.

Is Jesus Your Ant?

Is Jesus Your Ant?
Philippians 4:13I can do all things through Christ, which strengtheneth me.

As I was sitting on my porch watching the red birds, something caught my eye. I could see a white moth moving across the pavement. It appeared to be floating, but I realized that an ant was carrying it. One single, tiny ant hauling a moth close to 20 X’s its own size. The ant was so careful to balance and keep a hold on the moth. It was then, I thought about how weak I truly am. God created every living thing, with humans being his masterpiece. He made ants small, but strong. They can gracefully haul around objects that are up to 50 X’s their own weight. Compared to ants we are weak and helpless. We struggle to drag around all our garbage everyday. Eventually we run out of energy, trip up and fall. Jesus did not intend for us to be so strong. He wants us to depend on him. He has already taken our troubles to the cross on Calvary. We need to have faith in him, trust him, and ask forgiveness. Ask him for the help to carry our load. If we will allow him to, he will carry us as the ant did the moth. Praise Jesus!!!

Salvation

Last month in Awanas, our pastor Bro. Randy gave a devotion to the 3-6 grade boys and girls over Salvation. After it was over he had everyone bow their heads and anyone that was ready to except Christ as Savior to raise their hands and then exit into the hall way. We had a group of about 40 kids and out of that there was about 12 that went out into the hall way. At that time we split them into small groups and went with them into a private area. I took 3 of my girls from my class. I made sure that they understood what Bro. Randy had just spoke about and all 3 of them asked Jesus Christ to be there Lord and Savior. I was so happy. But the absolute best part of last night was after we got home. See, Wes was in that same class but I didn't see him raise his hand. After we got home he was a little upset because he wanted to be saved but couldn't find me. Then he thought it was too late because he didn't do "it" at church. I made sure he understood everything and told him that he could be saved anywhere and at anytime. So I led him through a prayer of Salvation last night in his room. He was pretty emotional and we explained that it was natural and how proud we were of him. This morning he was so excited to tell Dustin and Lauren his GREAT news and they were very happy for him. Dustin was saved years ago at about 10 years of age and Lauren was saved at 12. We also told Wes that he had just made that most important decision of his life. More than College, finding a wife, a job, or even having children. I am so happy........ 3 kids saved and one to go. I tell you there is nothing that blesses your heart more than to know that your child, no matter how old, has asked Jesus Christ to be his Lord and Savior and that you will spend eternity with them. I pray for the Salvation of all my family and friends regularly. And I hope that you will answer when the Lord comes knocking. We are never promised tomorrow, so don't wait. Love you all!

The greatest attribute of God is that He is a God of love. He loved us so much that He sent Jesus Christ, His only Son, so that we might have new everlasting life (John 3:16). By His death and resurrection, Jesus paid for our salvation. He was raised from the dead by the Father and given life and authority over the powers of darkness. God now imparts that life and authority to all who come receiving His provision for their sin. God’s Word says that whoever calls on the Name of the Lord will be saved. You can pray the following prayer right now to ask God to come into your heart so you can receive the new birth. Old things pass away and all things become new in Christ. Dear Lord Jesus, I know that according to your Word in John 3:3, I must be born again to see the kingdom of God. “Father I know I am a sinner. I believe Christ died for me. I believe that you shed your blood, died on the cross for me and rose again from the dead. I repent and turn from my sins. I need you Jesus. I no longer want to be in control of my life. Please come into my heart, forgive me of my sins and be my personal Lord & Savior from this day forward. Please give me the strength by your precious Holy Spirit to live for you. Please forgive me of my sins...I want to turn from my sins. Jesus, thank you for the gift of salvation... I promise to obey you with the help your Holy Spirit and to follow you all the days of my life. In Jesus Name…. Amen”
